Our glam and retro styled new lookbook 2017 is giving us all the heart eyes!

Putting together this lookbook has been amazing. Lots of hard work and care updating the styles, but always staying true to our “look” and vibe. Representing a young southern woman who is strong, independent, fun, and always glamorous, we are so thrilled with the outcome of shoot. Much in part to some incredible vendors, this “dream team” has gone above and beyond!

Lulakate Lookbook 2017

The darling and crazy talented Rachel Red captured our hearts along with these amazing images. The use of light and how it hits the shantung and faille fabric of our dresses was so exciting and she’s also just a dream to work with!

What bridesmaid look is complete without some amazing accessories to go with it? Our neighbor, Candy Shop Vintage gave us the most beautiful pieces to use for the shoot. From earrings to bracelets, we wish we could say we had a favorite, but every piece was gorgeous.

Our good friend Ashley Brook Perryman did an excellent job on hair and makeup. Every look was perfect for our vibe. Sweet, charming, and oh-so-glamorous.

The styling  of this veranda by Catherine M Austin Designs has us blown away. We love the tropical feels and we definitely didn’t want to leave the space. It fit in perfectly with our retro glam vibe.

This wallpaper is jaw dropping. From Julianne Taylor and called “Wallflower”, we couldn’t take our eyes off of it.

This painted wall behind our model is unbelievable. Hand painted by Aubrey Brackett Fine Finishes at the CSOL Designer Show House, we were thrilled to have it be part of our shoot. Simply exquisite!

LulaKate ladies have been on the move! We recently moved into a new showroom in downtown Charleston. The location is in an adorable historic home in one of the new neighborhoods and we absolutely love it!

We were fortunate to have been connected with Maryland photographer, Laura Matney of Laura’s Focus Photography, who took some gorgeous photos of our new space.

Our LulaKate Spring fashion show this year during Charleston’s Spring Bridal Fashion Week was seriously one of our favorites! We all had such a great time mingling with not only our amazing vendors that help to make this special event fantastic, but our wonderful guests as well! It was truly an honor to share our new 2016 collection with you!

Our new Lulakate dresses are still pretty and preppy, and we have to say we are in love with the new poppy colors in some of our favorite fabrics including shantung and faille. From halters, crop tops, short dresses and long, these LulaKates are ready to party! And yes, for more than just one occasion!!

The William Aiken House was a dream to host our special event hosted by the wonderful crew at Charleston Weddings Magazine! The rentals from Eventhaus makes us want to lounge all day, and the florals from Flora Fine Wedding & Event Flowers were absolutely sublime. Um, wow, Luke Wilson, you put together an awe inspiring event!

Here in the South, there are quite few things we delight in more than a glass of cold, iced tea, a warm, Summer breeze, and a good, old-fashioned read. That’s why we’re having a hard time containing the excitement about being recently featured in one of the South’s most innovative, cutting edge, and down right fun-to-read editorial magazines, Garden and Gun. Our RTW Hampton Dress was selected as the Editors’ Choice  in their “Good Hunting: Check Yourself” finds in the 2013 April-May issue. A spread devoted to the never-fading, classic staple, Gingham, we were ecstatic to be featured among other like-minded designers who love to embrace a hint of southern culture in their pieces.

The response from this feature has been so great and has us gunning to roll out a new RTW collection soon, so keep your eyes and lemons peeled! Summer is the best time for a new dress and glass of iced tea!
